Ludlow Assembly Rooms
Ludlow Assembly Rooms opened its doors in May 1993 in the restored and updated buildings of the former Assembly Rooms, dating from 1840. The opening was the result of five years of tireless campaigning by a group of people who believed that our rural community deserved its own place of entertainment.
At first only a limited line-up of entertainment was possible, but the venue proved so popular that over the years the programme has expanded beyond all expectations, and there is now a film or live event almost every night of the year. The building is very popular and well used, with an estimated footfall of 200,000 per year.
Education, outreach and training is at the core of the work of the Assembly Rooms. As well as live shows and films for various age groups there's a playgroup, children's birthday parties, regular term time and holiday workshops, competitions, showcase performances in music and dance, opportunities to display work at the Student
Art exhibitions, poetry and film-making as well as other partnerships.
We are open most days and evenings - check our website for 'what's on'.
